You do not need to be a student of Goshen Schools or be a resident of Goshen to be eligible.

Reading Camp 2013 Volunteers needed!!

Beginning in February, Goshen Schools, in collaboration with the United Way of Elkhart County, will again be offering Reading Camps to 20 children at Model, Waterford, West Goshen, and Parkside for 8 weeks. The children attending Reading Camps will be 2nd graders in need of extra reading practice. Reading Camps will be held every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:45-3:45 p.m.

We are looking for people of all ages, who would be willing to spend one hour per week reading with a child. All volunteers will be given a limited background check and will participate in a training session to be held the week prior to Reading Camps.

We are asking businesses to contemplate allowing employees time once a week to volunteer.

Information about Before and After School Care from KidsCare

KidsCare, a division of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County, is a fee-based program which offers before and after school care and activities in a school-based environment.

Serving children throughout Goshen Community Schools, we are centrally located in the cafeteria at Chandler Elementary School.
