West Goshen is proud to be a TAP school. In 2017, West Goshen was a national finalist (out of 6 schools in the country) for the prestigious “Founder’s Award” from the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching for their increase in student achievement (Awarded an “A” rating from the state of Indiana for 2016 and 2017). In 2012, West Goshen was granted the “School of Promise” award from the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching for their dedicated work toward best practice instruction.
West Goshen Elementary is also a candidate school* for the Primary Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that West Goshen Elementary believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Program (DP) or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
